4 Week Virtual Yoga Short Course
Yoga Fundamentals
The aim of the course:
Over a fun-packed four weeks, we will really get to grips with the fundamentals of Yoga. We will learn the history of where it originated, and move through four slow, powerful, flows. Each week will build on the last and by the time you leave, you will have the tools to build these practices into your daily life.
By the end of the course you will:

Know the basics of Yoga

Understand what makes a strong pose

Be able to breathe and think clearer
-
Receive three handouts for yoga flows to do in your own time
The course is for those:

Practising Yoga for less than 12 months or experienced Yogis simply wanting to learn more

Who want to know more about the fundamentals of Yoga
-
Who want to go beyond Downward facing dog!
About the instructor:

I have practised Yoga for ten years and taught for two in a range of studios across London & Essex

I am fully insured and am a member of the industry body Yoga Alliance
-
I pride myself on understanding the goals and aims of my students, taking the time to learn who they are as an individual, before crafting an experience tailored to them

Yoga 101
Learn the story behind Yoga and grasp the fundamentals of Yogic breathing, before bringing it all together with a 50-minute flow.
Questions we will answer:

Is Yoga just stretching and holding poses, or is it more?

How can I bring Yoga into my daily life?
Week 2

Yoga 102
Break down common Yoga poses step by step - 'Downward facing dog' (Adho Mukha Shvanasana), 'Warrior II' (Virabhadrasana II) and 'Forward Fold ' (Uttanasana)!

Why is 'Downward facing dog' used so often in Yoga?

Why is 'Warrior II' so good for mental and physical health?
Week 3

Yoga 103
A whole session dedicated to the breath (pranayama) and its transformative effects for the mind and body!
Questions we will answer:

Why is breathwork so important in Yoga?

How to return to Yogic breathing in times of stress and anxiety
Week 4

Yoga 104
Tie everything together with an hour and a half Yoga flow moving through everything that we've learnt!
Questions we will answer:

Can I really breathe, hold poses and be mindful at the same time!?

Why do we lie down at the end of class (Shavasana)?

Is it ok if I fall asleep? (hint: YES!)
